It seems so!

During an interview with The New York Times, Miley Cyrus was asked to share her opinion on Nicki Minaj’s recent Twitter debacle with Taylor Swift over the MTV Video Music Awards.

Miley responded by insinuating that Nicki is jealous of Taylor Swift and egotistical.

She said, “Not that this is jealousy, but jealousy does the opposite of what you want it to—that's a yoga mantra. People forget that the choices that they make and how they treat people in life affect you in a really big way. If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don't respect your statement because of the anger that came with it.”

She added, "And it's not anger like, 'Guys, I'm frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.' You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that's like, 'Eh, I didn't get my VMA'...If you want to make it about race, there's a way you could do that. But don't make it just about yourself. Say: 'This is the reason why I think it's important to be nominated. There's girls everywhere with this body type.’"

Nicki naturally caught wind of the interview and tweeted a special thanks to Complex magazine for defending her in regards to Miley’s recent statements.

It will be interesting to see how the brewing beef between Nicki and Miley evolves. After all, Nicki is opening the VMA’s while Miley is hosting. These two are bound to run into each other at some point.

Talk about awkward!

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Miley Cyrus took shots at taylor Swift when she said that she didn’t understand the “violence revenge” theme of the video. The comment derived from Miley being questioned on why nudity seems to be shamed more than violence in music videos. Miley said, “I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” when speaking on Taylor’s “Bad Blood” music video. “That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”

What do you guys think? Is nudity shamed more than guns?

Raven Symone Tells Miley Cyrus ‘I Said it First’ on Sexuality and Race Labeling

Raven Symone recently appeared as a guest co-host filling in for Whoopi Goldberg on “The View” and weighed in on some comments Miley Cyrus recently made about her gender identification and sexuality.

Miley recently spoke to the Associated Press and Out Magazine about having relationships that weren’t solely heterosexual and not wanting to have a specific gender label.

Here’s a snippet of what Miley actually told Out: “I didn’t want to be a boy. I kind of wanted to be nothing. I don’t relate to what people would say defines a girl or a boy, and I think that’s what I had to understand: Being a girl isn’t what I hate, it’s the box that I get put into.”

When asked to share how she felt about what Miley had to say, Raven voiced her support for Miley’s comments while still throwing a little bit of shade.

“Miley, I agree with you and, girl, I said it first,” Raven said.

Raven’s “I said it first” dig is in reference to her 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey where she spoke about not wanting to be labeled as a specific race or certain type of sexuality.

Raven then proceeded to play a  clip from her interview with Oprah where she said, “I don’t want to be labeled gay. I want to be labeled a human who loves humans. I’m tired of being labeled. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American. I’m an American.”

If you don’t remember, Raven caught a lot of flack for saying that she is not African American, so she clarified her statement once again on “The View.”

“They thought I said I wasn’t black and I didn’t want to be labeled,” Raven explained, adding, “Miley, I agree, we should not be labeled because it creates tension between people and you feel like you can look down, like that’s this type of person and this is how I should feel about you.”
