The transgender community is definitely not laughing about this latest story.

Hollywood Toys & Costumes has created a “Call Me Caitlyn” halloween costume that many people are outraged by.

The costume reportedly comes with a padded corset, wig, and pageant sash, and is meant to poke fun at Caitlyn Jenner’s recent Vanity Fair cover where she officially came out transgender.

Social media users have slammed the costume and company for what they perceive as mocking the transgender community.

But despite the backlash the costume has received since its debut, Derek Rogers, the manager and buyer at Hollywood Toys & Costumes says that the Call me Caitlyn costume is all in good fun and completely harmless.

“I thought it’s a perfect costume. They imitate the president. They do Michael Jackson. It’s all, anybody, anybody’s fair game,” he says.

Sources say that the Call Me Caitlyn costume has been picked up by many online retailers for $49.90.  Another online retail store Spirit Halloween has revamped the costume and is selling it for $74.99.

What are your thoughts on the Call me Caitlyn Halloween costume? Is it a harmless retail product or does is it  a form of bullying against the transgender community? Sound off below!

Caitlyn Jenner recently attended NYC’s pride weekend a few weeks ago and volunteered to help the TransLatina coalition in Brooklyn.

Though many fans flocked to Jenner’s side to take selfies with her, she politely declined and kept to her task of passing out condoms and flyers during the TransLatina coalition event addressing ways to prevent HIV.

Sources say that Jenner’s trip to Brooklyn will be documented in her upcoming series “I Am Cait” which will premiere on E! later this month.

Jenner will continue to document her new experience as a woman on a new E! docu-series. Jenner's E! documentary “I am Cait” will be an eight part series that will premiere on July 26 at 9 p.m. EST.

Rachel Dolezal Says she Identifies as Black

Rachel Dolezal is the name that has been buzzing in social media and making head lines all week.

Rachel Dolezal is a former NAACP leader who recently decided to step down from her position after being outed as being white by her parents.

Rachel’s parents Larry and Ruthanne recently revealed to a local newspaper that their daughter has been lying about her ethnicity for many years and even provided the paper with her birth certificate and  photos of Rachel as a white woman.

But despite her parents’ evidence that she is in fact white, Rachel says that she identifies as black. Rachel also insinuated that Larry and Ruthanne are not her biological parents.

"I haven't had a DNA test. There's been no biological proof that Larry and Ruthanne are my biological parents,” she said in a recent interview with NBC Nightly News."I'm not necessarily saying that I can prove they're not, but I don't know that I can actually prove they are. I mean the birth certificate was issued a month and a half after I'm born. Certainly there were no medical witnesses to my birth. It was in the woods."

In a separate interview with NBC’s “Today,” Rachel revealed that Caitlyn Jenner’s transgender story resonated with her because she, too felt isolated in her community and always felt that she was black.

“I cried,” Rachel said about Caitlyn Jenner’s story. “Because I resonated with some of the themes of isolation, of being misunderstood—to not know if you have a conversation with somebody, will that relationship then end because they have seen you as one way.”

And though Rachel insists that she’s struggled with race identity for many years, her parents are saying that this is not true.

"That didn't happen," Rachel’s estranged mother Ruthann said in a recent interview."It's disappointing to see that Rachel is still making false statements... I was hoping to see a change.”

Since being outed by her parents, Rachel’s story has received mixed reviews in the media and on social media. Celebrities such as Keri Hilson and Dave Chapelle have asked their fans to sympathize with Rachel’s struggle and acknowledge all of the positive work she’s done for the African American community.

Keri tweeted, “Let's just all thank #RachelDolezal. Identity, pathological, & parental issues aside, she's doing more than most of us do for ourselves.”

Meanwhile other public figures such as the NAACP President Cornell Brooks and CNN education contributor Steve Perry have condemned Rachel as being a fraud and making a mockery of the black community in many ways including using self tanner to make herself appear darker.

Rachel Dolezal’s story is an interesting one in that it sparks discussion on race identity. The topic of gender identity has become more mainstream since Caitlyn Jenner’s big reveal, but race identity struggle is something that has yet to be discussed or even contemplated.

Rachel Dolezal identifies as a black woman and has made many positive strides in the black community. However her methods in doing so are being questioned.

Is she making a mockery of the race and is there even such a thing as feeling like you identify with another race?  Does the bad outweigh the good?

Ne-Yo recently took to Twitter on Friday June 5 to slam a recent report about his decision to come out as gay.

News Buzz Daily, a satirical news site, recently published a report claiming that Ne-Yo was inspired by Caitlyn Jenner’s transgender story and made the decision to come out as gay.

News Buzz Daily even quoted Ne-Yo  saying that Caitlyn gave him “the inner strength to admit to my kids, my family, my friends, my fans and ultimately to myself that I am gay.”

According to News Buzz Daily, Ne-Yo also said that he knew he was gay as a young boy but never had the courage to tell the world.

“Watching Bruce, well Caitlyn, sit down with Dianne Sawyer on ABC really inspired me. Bruce is very brave and beautiful. As soon as he came out as transgendered, she freed herself and thats the freedom I want,” Ne-Yo allegedly said via News Buzz Daily.

Despite News Buzz Daily’s disclaimer that it is a satirical news site, many social media users took the story at face value and began tweeting about Ne-Yo’s coming out story which prompted him to slam the rumor.

Ne-Yo tweeted, “U should all know by now not to believe everything you read. Much luv to #CaitlynJenner but I'm not on that team. Not gay folks. So sorry.”

He added, “No disrespect to the gay community or to #CaitlynJenner by the way. Live your life and be proud. I'm just not gay. We're still on this? #sad.”

This isn’t the first time that Ne-Yo has been subject to gay rumors.

Back in 2012, Ne-Yo said that he was confused by why people constantly question his sexuality.

The IOC Refuses to Revoke Caitlyn Jenner’s Olymic medal

The International Olympic Committee has refused to revoke Caitlyn Jenner’s , formerly known as Bruce Jenner, 1976 gold Olympic medal from its database.

“Bruce Jenner won his gold medal in the 1976 Olympic Games and there is no issue for the IOC,” IOC communications director Mark Adams said in a press release.

Adams’ statement is in response to a change.org petition that was recently launched by Jennifer Bradfrod from Fort Worth, Texas urging the IOC to revoke Bruce’s gold medal since she has recently transitioned into a woman.

The petition reads: “It is only fair to all involved that women receive their credit as champions of the Decathalon and that the men racing Ms. Jenner are not expected to compete with a superior, streamlined being such as herself.”

So far, the petition has 14,000 signatures and counting.

Sources say that the petition might actually be a hoax from the infamous 4chan members who are responsible for the massive celebrity nude photo hack that occurred months ago.

But whether or not it is a hoax, the IOC stands by its decision to keep Caitlyn’s gold medal.

In addition to having her gold medal remain in the IOC, Caitlyn’s previous name Bruce Jenner might reportedly be changed in the Hall of Fame. Following her 1976 Olympic win, Bruce was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

But now that she has officially transitioned, Hall of Fame spokesperson Patrick Sandusky has revealed that the organization would gladly change Bruce’s name to Caitlyn once she fills out the necessary paperwork to make the change.
