A Lesson in Death
I guess this might be a somber welcome back.
Here we go…
I have to dig deep because some times spiritual things come from the depths of the soul.
Over the holiday season, I lost a dear friend of mine. We had known each other since we were literally in kindergarten.
He was only 34. To be that young & die of stage 4 cancer is something I’ll never to come to understand.
He was my dinosaur buddy, my writing buddy always encouraged me to keep telling my stories & that one day I would make it to where he was.
He was a college football reporter for ESPN. He literally rose through the ranks to be the top of top authority on college football.
I learned a valuable lesson on Christmas Eve, death comes on swift wings a lot of times. It’s so sudden & so fast.
Death doesn’t matter how old you are, what you have, or what you had planned.
I challenge you, not only this year but every year, every month, everyday to love people you come in contact with. Allow your light to shine every day.
Be grateful for every breath that you get to take. Things may not always go right every day but make the best of what does go right.
The lasting lesson I learned from death: Live everyday with the intention of building a legacy that will speak for you when you’re gone.
As Always,
Peace, Light, & Legacy
