'Family Matters' star Darius Mccrory Alleges Abuse as Child Actor
Darius McCrary, famously known for his role as Eddie Winslow on the 90’s hit show “Family Matters,” admitted that he was inappropriately touched by a Hollywood executive. The 41 year old actor said “I was inappropriately touched by a Hollywood executive and I’m not gonna tell on nobody.” A bit odd to admit an ordeal like that and follow up with a vague contradiction to admitting what happened to him in the first place. The cameramen continued to probe McCrary but it seemed as if that is all he wanted to say. “It just happened when I was a young man. I’m not gonna say, but that’s what it is,” McCrary said. He continued, “I’m not thirsty, so I ain’t gotta tell you my business because I’m not thirsty.” With a comment like that it is only plausible to think he is referring to all the other victims coming out and telling their stories of sexual harassment in Hollywood.
His comments are getting a lot of backlash from social media, as people saw it insulting and disrespectful to others who have came out publicly to open up about their experiences of sexual harassment. Darius’ claims come after several well-known industry names have been put on blast. Several men have accused Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers. Recently Charlie Sheen was accused of sexual assault and actor Corey Haim’s name was brought up. When asked about Charlie Sheen Darius said, "All I can say is Charlie is one of the most magnificent and kind people that God ever created and I can't see Charlie Sheen doing anything inappropriate." Recent claims that Sheen, at age 19, had allegedly sexually assaulted the late Corey Haim when he was 13.
